elevated 8cTC8 It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss that we announce the peaceful passing of George Korkis on January 30, 2026 at the age of 59.
elevated 8cTC8 George was a loving and devoted husband and father whose life was defined by strength, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to his family. At the age of 14, he left his home country of
Iraq to start a better future. George moved to Italy for 6 years and during that time he adapted to new culture, learned a new language, and developed resilience,
independence, and determination which would guide him throughout his life.
elevated 8cTC8 George came to Canada alone at the age of 20, where he then met his beloved wife Sandra, who went on to share 31 years of marriage. Together they have built a beautiful
life that rooted in respect, loyalty and devotion to one another. Geroge was a proud father of twins, Samantha and Daniel, who were the center of this world. He cherished
every moment spent with his children and took great joy in teaching them the things he loved such as sports, cooking, faith, independency and many more. George’s favourite
sports teams were Juventus, Liverpool, and the Dallas Cowboys.
elevated 8cTC8 George was a hardworking, selfless man. He always put his family first. His goal was to provide; protect and support the ones he loved most never seeking recognition and
always leading by example. George was a beloved brother of Evon (Fred), the late William, Ramon, Sam (Sylvia), Rita (Nader), and Jalal (Regina). He shared a very close bond with his siblings, and his presence will be deeply missed by each of them. George was an Uncle and Zio to Patrick, Alex, Maurice, Ashroina, Claudia, Bianca, Dylan, Antonio, Vienna, Andreas, Joey, Sabrina, Louie, Stephanie, Nicholas, Melissa, and Michael. He took pride in sharing stories, making jokes, showing support and love to all of them.
elevated 8cTC8 George was loved by so many and will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love and resilience to family will live on through those he leaves behind and through the many lives he touched.

Sammy, Daniel and Sandra,
I am at a loss of words. George was an amazing man who had the warmest welcome anytime I would come over. He was, to say the least, SO VERY proud of both his children. You can see it on his face anytime we would be in the kitchen talking, how his face gleamed with happiness. Though this is difficult, he will guide you all and give you all the strength to keep moving forward. Our dads are together, watching over us. Our guardian angels.
May George rest in eternal peace. Love you all, and always here for you.
My deepest and sincerest condolences to the family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. May George rest in eternal peace.
Daniel, Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in this tragic time
