It is with deeply saddened hearts that we share the passing of Gerardo Gugliucciello, who passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on August 28, 2026.
elevated AApMw Born on October 3, 1934, in Salerno, Italy, Gerardo was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Anna; his two sons, Frank (Giulia) and Lello (Franca); his adored grandchildren, Marco and Stefanie (Daniel); and his cherished great-grandson, Nicolas. He is also lovingly remembered by his sister, Rosetta (Orazio), and his many nieces and nephews. Gerardo was predeceased by his sister, Pasqualina (Domenic), and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
elevated AApMw Gerardo came to Canada with determination and a strong work ethic. He worked long hours to build a home and provide a wonderful life for his family. His greatest pride, however, was always his family, and he treasured the time they spent together.
elevated AApMw He found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved spending time with his family, tending to his vegetable garden, hunting, playing bocce and cards, and watching sports. He took great pride in his garden and was always happy to share the vegetables he grew with family and friends. Whether sitting quietly in his backyard or relaxing on the front porch, Gerardo appreciated the peaceful moments and the comforts of home.
elevated AApMw One of his greatest joys was becoming a grandfather. He cherished his time with Marco and, soon after, Stefanie, especially the precious moments spent together at home whenever they came to visit. Becoming a great-grandfather to Nicolas brought yet another special joy to his life.
elevated AApMw Gerardo will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He leaves behind an abundance of stories and cherished memories that will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His absence will be deeply felt, but his life will be joyfully remembered and his memory lovingly celebrated for generations to come.
