It is with broken hearts and disbelief that we announce the passing of our father Gerardo Saldutto on February 8, 2023 at the age of 87.
elevated hXiUH Beloved husband of 65 years to Maria Rosa Saldutto, loving father to Concetta (Giuseppe), Carmella, Charlie (Patty), Tony (Kelly), proud Nonno to Angela (Stephen), Anthony (Ashley), Andrew (Christina), Sandro (Sandy), Sarah, Callan, Sophia and adoring Bisnonno to Luca, Adriana, Adamo, Joseph, Leo, Ella and Alexia.
elevated hXiUH Our father was a man of few words but his loves were simple, his wife, his children, his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren. His love for his wife, Maria, although not always expressed, was very deep and committed. He had a particular soft heart for his grandchildren. It brought him so much joy to see them and he took every opportunity to share his life experiences with them whenever possible. We knew, along with his neighbourhood friends, that if you were ever looking for him you simply had to either drive by or go into his garage and you would find him for hours fixing lawn mowers, snow blowers or anything people would bring him. He was known as the neighbourhood mechanic. But he was most happy spending time in the garden, his weekends hunting and going to pick cicoria and asparagus with his friends. He was content and lived his life as he wanted.
elevated hXiUH After a long struggle with illness, it gives us comfort in knowing that he is finally at peace with his parents, brothers and sister. He will forever be in our hearts and we will forever hold his memories close.

May Gerardo rest in peace. Will always remember the many good times we had together. You will be sadly missed my dear friend.
I like to extend my deepest condolences to Maria,

Also to the grandchildren,
Angela and family, Anthony and family ,
Andrew and family and Tony’s kids, I am sorry don’t remember their names.
To all the great grandchildren as well.
I have good memories of Gerry, he was alway nice to me, we always got along in the time that I know him.
Maria, you are a beautiful person, you were an amazing wife to Gerry, and you are a wonderful mother to your kids.
