No words seem enough to express my sorrow. Rest in peace, dear cousin. I will always remember you as one of the most honest, generous, and pure-hearted souls I have ever known. Sadly, the circumstances of our country pushed us apart. I left, you left, and like so many of our family, we settled far away. But now, this is different—you have gone to settle in eternity. Dear Najla, Rita and Nadim, we are deeply saddened by Ghassan’s sudden death. You have been in our hearts this past week. We have fond memories of conversations with Gus before and after school – a few years ago now – and though these were usually brief, he always left us wishing to talk at more leisure, with his quiet and friendly manner.
We remember him warmly and hold you in our prayers at this time. May his memory be a blessing, may his passing open the way to deeper relationships with those you love, and may he rest in peace and rise in glory.
I had the privilege of meeting Ghassan three months ago at Zemlar while I was in the midst of a difficult transition. During that time, he showed incredible kindness, helping me with the move and making sure I settled into my new office. Though our acquaintance was brief, his generosity and warmth left a lasting impression on me. I was truly saddened to hear this news today. My thoughts are with his loved ones, and I hope they find comfort in knowing how much he was appreciated. May he rest in peace.
I had the honour and privilege of meeting and working with my dear brother Ghassan from January 2021 until his passing. In that period of 4 Years, he left a lasting mark not only on our company but also on my life and the lives of all those fortunate enough to know him. His professional contributions shaped the company into what it is today, but beyond his remarkable work, it was his character, kindness, and spirit that truly set him apart.
Ghassan was an extraordinary human being with a gentle heart, someone who consistently put others before himself. He had a way of making everyone feel valued, respected, and heard. There is not a single day that passes without his name being remembered, without a story being told, or a moment being shared that brings him back into our conversations. I deeply miss our hour-long phone calls, where he would always find time to listen, to guide, and to remind me of what truly matters. I miss our walks, where we would step away from work to reflect, laugh, and simply enjoy each other’s company.
On a personal note, Ghassan was far more than just a colleague. He was my mentor, my advisor, my confidant, and my true friend. He guided me through difficult moments, offering not only professional advice but also genuine care and brotherly support. He always encouraged me to do the right thing, to see the bigger picture, and to never lose sight of integrity. His wisdom, patience, and compassion will remain with me forever.
To everyone who knew him, I offer my deepest condolences. We share in this profound loss together. Ghassan had a rare gift; he would stop everything he was doing to listen, to comfort, and to offer a solution in whatever way he could.
