elevated QQ1qq It is with profound sadness the family announces the unexpected passing of Gianluca Primucci on Saturday, June 5, 2021. He will be missed by all, especially his parents, Dominic and Anna (nee Iannacci), his brothers Joseph (Nicole De Gasperis), Daniel (Renee Vallescuro), his grandparents and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, niece and friends.
elevated QQ1qq Gianluca was a graduate of Mississauga Private School, continued his studies in Fine Arts at York University, the Toronto School of Art and completed his degree in graphic design at Humber College. As Gianluca developed his art and design skills, he volunteered at the Mood Disorders Association of Ontario. At the MDAO, he taught art history and visual arts to adults with mood disorders and grew the program from implementation to several classes plus workshops all planned and taught by Gianluca. He furthered his volunteerism at the Royal Ontario Museum as a tour leader sharing his curiosity and knowledge with others.
elevated QQ1qq Gianluca achieved great success overcoming many challenges and touching many lives in his short life. His artistic talent was known to everyone but his special gift was his kind and gentle soul which enabled him to relate to others and make them feel special.
elevated QQ1qq In Gianluca’s words: “My art work has always been and will always be a tool for self-expression and release. In my opinion, art must always be for art’s sake, but more importantly for the artist’s sake.” His family is grateful to all those who inspired his curiosity and imagination and above all, to those who supported him on his journey.
elevated QQ1qq In memory of Gianluca, pay it forward and do something kind for someone that will make a difference in their lives … just as he would. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Mood Disorders Association of Ontario would be greatly appreciated.

I give my deepest condolences to all of you. Losing someone as beloved as Gianluca is an unimaginable pain. He was wonderful through and through. You all have become part of our family through my mother- and we all feel connected to you.
While this pain is great, I know that all of you are strong.
Anna and Dominic, you are the best parents Gianluca could ask for, and while no parent should ever have to lose a child, I know you can overcome this; he will always be with you. Gianluca drew his strength to overcome challenges from his family, and now, you all can look to everything he accomplished to guide you through this heavy loss.
