Giovanna was the loving wife of Aldo Costa, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, devotion, and treasured memories.

She will be deeply missed by her sons Larry Costa (Pauline) and Dario Costa (Filomena), who will forever carry her love and guidance in their hearts.

A proud and loving grandmother, Giovanna will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Alicia, Alexander (Alexandra), Erik (Natalia), Gregory, Nicholas (Tanja), and Sebastian. She was also a cherished great-grandmother to Nova and Austin, who brought her immense joy and happiness.

Giovanna was predeceased by her parents, Primo Chiarot and Rina Mascarin, and her brother Beppino Chiarot (Augusta).

elevated HbC3Z She leaves behind her loving siblings Bruna Chiarot (the late Duilio), Maria Rosa Rinoldi (the late Giovanni), and Roberto Chiarot, as well as many extended family members and friends who will remember her with love and affection.

elevated HbC3Z Giovanna passed away peacefully, surrounded by her cherished husband of 68 years and her loving family. She will be remembered as a devoted mother, nonna, bisnonna, and friend whose gentle, loving spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. To those closest to her, she was affectionately known as Giovannina, a name that reflected her warmth and endearing sweetness.

elevated HbC3Z Family was the heart of Giovanna’s life. Her daily morning call with her sister in Italy was a cherished ritual she never missed, a testament to the deep bond they shared across distance and time. Her love for her family was constant, steady, and expressed in countless small acts of care.

elevated HbC3Z Giovanna found joy in nurturing her flower garden, tending each bloom with patience and affection. Her home was always brightened by fresh flowers, a reflection of her appreciation for beauty and the simple pleasures of life. She was also an exceptional cook, bringing loved ones together around her table and creating treasured memories through her meals. Above all, Giovanna treasured time spent with her loved ones, finding her greatest happiness in their company, even in the simplest pleasures of sharing an espresso together.

elevated HbC3Z The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the dedicated medical team at MHRH, especially Dr. Berger, Dr. Masoudi, Dr. Patel, Dr. Rosenberg, and the compassionate nurses of both D‑Wing and Palliative Care. Their kindness, attentiveness, and support brought comfort throughout Giovanna’s final journey.
