It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Giovanni Albanese, surrounded by his loving family on August 30, 2025, at Hospice Vaughan, at the age of 95. Beloved husband of 66 years to Maria (nee Masucci). Loving father of Emilio & Grace, and Sue & Vince. Proud Nonno of Emily (Marty), Jonathan (Claudia), Natalie (Alex), and Nicholas, and bisnonno of Rocco. Dear brother of (deceased) Antoinetta, Amelia, and Nick. Giovanni will be sadly missed and held dear in the hearts of his extended family and friends. He will be lovingly remembered and never forgotten.

WeI are so saddened to hear of Giovanni’s passing. Even at 95, saying goodbye to someone so dear is never easy. Giovanni’s long life is a true blessing and a legacy to be celebrated, and I hope you find comfort in the many cherished memories you shared together. May his spirit live on in the love of your family and the stories you continue to hold close to your hearts.
My cousin John, which we called him all our lives, a man who was a role model of love & loyalty to family, and respect for elders. Cousin John also impressed upon me his work ethic & dedication to those who worked for & with him. I’ll always remember his wine, his beautiful garden & his wonderful appreciation for food, of which his beautiful wife, Mary mastered at preparing. I know Cousin John is in heaven now, young & strong, reunited with those who have gone before & preparing to greet us, with open arms & the same spirit he exhibited here & yes a glass of wine.
