elevated 9Ih0V It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts as we announce the passing of Giovanni Donia, beloved spouse, father, brother, grandfather, friend, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 17, 2026 at the age of 87. 

elevated 9Ih0V Born on December 7, 1938 in Longano, Molise, Italy. Giovanni lived a life filled with love, kindness, and devotion to family and friends. He will be remembered for his warm heart, unwavering strength, sense of humor, generosity, and the countless ways he touched the lives of those around him. 

elevated 9Ih0V Giovanni found great joy in the simple pleasures of life and in celebrating his Italian heritage. He loved gathering with family and friends to play bocce and a spirited game of scopa, and his accordion music often brought smiles and laughter to those around him. Whether dancing the tarantella or sharing stories and traditions, he embraced every opportunity to create cherished memories with his family. Above all, Giovanni treasured the time he spent with his beloved grandchildren and family, whose love and companionship brought him his greatest happiness.

elevated 9Ih0V Giovanni is lovingly survived by his spouse Irene, his children Claudia (Carlo), Laura (Angelo), and his grandchildren Jessica (Patrick), Briana (Luca), Sebastian (Jessica), and Emma.

elevated 9Ih0V Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we take comfort in the love, wisdom, and beautiful memories Giovanni leaves behind. His legacy of compassion and love will continue to live on in all who knew him. 

elevated 9Ih0V A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 21, 2026 from 3:00 – 8:00 pm at Queen of Heaven Catholic Funeral Home located at 7300 Highway 27, Woodbridge, Ontario L4H 4Y8. 

elevated 9Ih0V A funeral mass will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026 at 10:30 am – Chapel of Our Lady of Consolation (located inside the funeral home) followed by the entombment at Queen of Heaven Catholic Funeral Home located at 7300 Highway 27, Woodbridge, Ontario L4H 4Y8.
