elevated 1raUO Obituary

elevated 1raUO It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gino in Mississauga, on December 20, 2022, at the age of 72.  Beloved husband of Linda. Loving father to Jonathan (Danielle), Rosalynn (Andrew) and Andrea (Mladen). Papa to Owen, Ethan, Joshua, Alexander, Scarlett and Nora. Family and friends will remember and miss him dearly.

elevated 1raUO Gino emigrated to Canada as a young boy, where he settled and began working on his new life.  He always had a good work ethic and never stopped working hard, holding many skills. Gino completed trades school and was  trained tailor, worked as a grocery clerk at Dominon (where he met Linda), he went to work for his brother’s business upon his death, from there he was employed as a pitmaster smoker at Bitners, and lastly at Etobicoke Ironworks as a lead hand in the finishing and paint shop. Where he made many friends and had fond memories.

elevated 1raUO Gino’s true passion and love was spending time with his family and friends.  He never missed an opportunity to be with his 6 grandchildren, and ensure that they always had a good time.  He enjoyed making food and sharing his new recipes with anyone that walked through his door.  From making painfully spicy hot sauce to delicious smoked meats, and discovering new bbq recipes; his way to anyone’s heart was through food that led to conversation and eventually always wanting to be around his good and positive nature.

elevated 1raUO In April 2018 Gino suffered a severe stroke which greatly impacted his physical mobility, a year later he would suffer another minor stroke that took just a little bit more of the Gino we knew and loved away.

elevated 1raUO The years that followed were hard on him, forcing him to slow down and eventually stop doing all the things that he enjoyed doing for others.

elevated 1raUO May he be at peace, spending time with his son, brother, mother and father; entertaining and caring for them the way he did for us.

elevated 1raUO Gino will forever be missed, and loved.
