It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Giuseppa “Pina” Petrolo at the age of 93, who is now reunited with her loving husband Domenico.
elevated wN27G She leaves behind her son Pasquale (Mae) and many nieces, nephews, countless friends and in-laws.
elevated wN27G She will be reunited with her parents Bruno and Rosa and all her siblings: Bruno (Marianna), Giovanni (Rosina), Pietro (Vittoria), Domenico, Vincenzo (Rosa) and Onofrio, who have gone before her.
elevated wN27G Pina was born in Sant’Onofrio, Catanzaro, Italy. She was a kind and loving soul, whose greatest joy was spending time with family. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her and will be held dear in the hearts of all those who loved her.

Zia Pina as I’ve always called her was such a wise, beautiful soul and I always felt loved by her throughout those wonderful family gatherings. I was always treated my like family and will miss her smiling eyes and warm smile. Riposa in Pace Zia Pina, you were loved by so many.
To Pasquale, Mae, Relatives & Friends:
We were very sadden to hear of the passing of Commare Pina (who was more like a Mother). She was a loving & caring soul and will remain in our hearts & prayers always.
Thank you for all the gnocchi you gave us & all your love.
May you rest in peace with Compare Domenico and all your loved ones.

Condoglianze to the families,
I keep trying to find words for what Pina meant to me, and nothing feels enough. Because how do you explain losing someone who felt like a mother to your soul. Even in this grief, I know how deeply fortunate I was to be loved by her. That love will stay with me always, and I will forever hold close the time we shared. 💜
My heart is with you, I am grieving this loss deeply, alongside you. My condolences to Pasquale, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Rest easy, dear Pina, until we meet again.🙏
