elevated zD2uw August 11, 1936 – May 3, 2023

elevated zD2uw It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Giuseppe “Joe” Primucci on May 3, 2023, at his home surrounded by family.

elevated zD2uw Beloved husband of 65 years to Lucia (nee Macina), loving father to Dominic (Anna Iannacci), and Rosa De Pasquale (Enrico), devoted brother to late Vince (Lucia), Sam (Gemma), Mike (Susana) and Theresa (Renato Bartucci), loving grandfather to his cherished grandchildren, Joseph, Gianluca, Giampiero (Joanna), Daniel (Renee Vallescuro) and Roberto, and great-grandfather to Domenico, Massimo, Simona, Sebastian and Louisa. He was predeceased by and is now reunited with his daughter Angela (1975) and grandson Gianluca (2021).

elevated zD2uw Joe’s life journey began on August 11, 1936 in the town of Palazzo San Gervasio, Italy. In search of a better life and opportunity, he came to Canada with his family in 1952.

elevated zD2uw He began working at the Reliable Toy Company where he met his future wife and love of his life, Lucia. Joe took great pride in his work and quickly excelled at the company. Driven by a strong entrepreneurial spirit, he joined his brothers at Pizza Nova in 1970 and then ventured on his own to found Mirolin Industries in 1973. Beginning with a single mould producing bathroom sinks, Mirolin quickly grew to become an industry leading manufacturer of a diverse range of bathroom products. His creativity and ingenuity led to the development of several industrial patents including the industry changing 3-piece tub shower. In 1998, Joe sold Mirolin and retired from active business spending his time traveling with Lucia.

elevated zD2uw Over the years, Joe supported various community organizations and initiatives. In 1996, he was conferred the title Cavaliere della Repubblica by the government of Italy, recognizing his meaningful contributions to the business community.

elevated zD2uw Joe’s greatest joy in life was his family and he dedicated the latter years of his life to providing incredible care for Lucia after she developed Alzheimer’s disease.

elevated zD2uw Giuseppe will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His generosity, kindness, and unwavering commitment to his family and friends will be remembered always.

elevated zD2uw The family would like to give a special thanks for the support provided by Joe and Lucia’s caregivers, Jennifer, Glazel, Teresita, Jasmine and Sharleen, the staff and physicians at Princess Margaret Hospital including Dr. Anthony Finelli as well as Dr. Louie Mavrogiannis of the Dorothy Ley Hospice.
