Dear Rosanna, Marco, Michael, and family,
I am so sorry to hear of your father’s passing. Not being a user of social media I found out a little late.
I worked with your father at Nortel and CRL for over 30 years and found him to be a fine gentleman. Over the years I would hear stories of you all and how you were progressing.
In retirement we would meet periodically for golf and lunches with other retirees. Good laughs and fond memories!
At one of the lunches I remember your dad having an intermittent starting problem with his Volvo and together we determined
it was a cold solder joint on a fuel pump relay module. We worked good as team! Your dad was so happy we found the problem because we knew the Volvo mechanics would have charged a bundle (we also shared an aversion to wasting
money :)).
I hope my modest donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in his memory will help others.
My heartfelt condolences to you and your families.
Sincerely,
Raymond Barber
Thank you so much for your condolences, kind words and your story-brought a smile to my face.
Just found out, so sad, worked with Joe for years.
