elevated P0SGH Giuseppe Linzi passed away peacefully in Toronto on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at the age of 96.

elevated P0SGH He is now reunited with his cherished wife of 60 years, Giuseppina, who passed away earlier this year.

elevated P0SGH He was a loving and dedicated father to his daughter Franca and husband Gino, and his daughter Rita and husband Evaristo, and a proud and caring Nonno to his grandson, Christian.

elevated P0SGH Born in Mereto di Tomba, Friuli, Italy on April 6, 1929, Giuseppe came to Canada in 1952 to build a new life. He was a master plasterer and a craftsman of immense skill. His work is part of Toronto’s history, having contributed to landmarks such as the CN Tower and the SkyDome, as well as many of the city’s hospitals. His dedication was just as evident at home, where he single-handedly built an addition to his house, turning it into a warm and welcoming home for his family.

elevated P0SGH Giuseppe found his greatest joy in simple things: time spent at home with his wife, helping her tend their vegetable garden, gathering with friends at the Famèe Friulano social club, and watching Italian soccer games on St. Clair Avenue. For decades, he never missed the annual CNE Airshow.

elevated P0SGH In his final years, he was a devoted caregiver to Giuseppina as she battled Alzheimer’s. His quiet strength and unwavering commitment to her were a testament to his character. After a brief illness of his own, he passed naturally, just as he lived—quietly and on his own terms.

elevated P0SGH His quiet presence, integrity, and love for his family will be profoundly missed.
