elevated N9Y9c “In loving memory, we announce the passing of Giuseppe (Beppi, Joe) Pilla. He passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the age of 94 years on Thursday December 10th, 2020.
elevated N9Y9c Caring and doting husband to Giovanna. His sons Moris (Anna) and Louis (Sandra) will forever cherish his zest for life. Devoted Nonno to Stephen (Mitchell), Andrew (Nora), Laura (Benjamin), Gabriel, Fabrice and David. He had the privilege of becoming a great grandfather to Ava. His bright blue eyes, caring smile and kind words will be missed and fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Our Nonno Joe, the man with the most generous heart and the kindest smiling blue eyes, will be forever missed by us all. We will never forget all of the parks he took us to, all of the places he drove us (well into his later years!), all of the delicious things he grew in his garden (especially “baby salad” that we grew up on), and all of his hilarious banter with our Nonna (“baeeee common Giovanna”). Nonno Joe, you set an incredible example of how dedication to your family, sacrifice and passion for living life to the fullest will lead to an impactful and wonderful life. We will miss you dearly and you will forever be in our hearts.

Moris, Anna, Louis, Sandra and grandkids. We have such fond memories of Beppi Pilla – Whether it was making us young people look bad when there was work to be done, or being the first to start cleaning up after lunch, or the many contentious bocce games. We smile when we think of him. He always had a kind word, and a genuine concern when he asked how we were doing. We learned a lot about life from the examples he set. We were blessed to have him as part of our family gatherings and he will be sorely missed. May he Rest In Peace knowing that he had such an impact on so many people.
