elevated m83NW Obituary
elevated m83NW Woodcroft, Gordon James (1952-2018) It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Gordie/Woody/Woods on March 3, 2018 with family by his side at Toronto General Hospital. Cherished husband of 37 years to “Vienn” (Vienna Tacconelli), loving father to Lauren (Luigi), Anthony (Kristen), Danielle (Adrian), doting grampa to Juliana, Andreas, Cassia and grand-pets Cole and Bo. Predeceased by his parents Victor Bishop and Anne Aileen (nee Flanagan). Beloved younger brother to Paul (Tia), Bud (Kathleen), Frank (the late Jem), Gerry, Maureen (Peter) and fun-loving uncle to 14 nieces and nephews. The world lost a kind soul full of love, wit and one-liners, who touched everyone he met with his charm. A man of fine tastes, he lived life to the fullest without regret. In true, generous form, Woods requested that donations be made to Dr. Florence Wong’s Liver Research Fund, in lieu of flowers. I have lost a longtime friend in Gord. We shared many laughs and good times together.I believe they threw away the mould when Gord was born, there was only one Gord. He loved people and just living life. I will miss his sense of humour, always fun to be around, he will be missed by many .
Vienn,Lauren,Anthony,Danielle my deepest sympathies my thoughts and prayers are with you.
Woody you were definitely one of the brightest lights I ever met. Turned off way to soon but the light will shine in me for my lifetime. Thanks for the fun, laughs and memories and emails.Till we meet again.
Fletch
Please accept our heartfelt sympathy on the passing of your beloved husband and father, Gord. We were both deeply moved by his final gestures of love and peace. May God fill the void in your hearts with His love, peace, courage and strength. With our love and prayers, Maureen and Peter
I met Gord in January of 2015, and we had many laughs, and several great and memorable snowmobile trips together. He loved his time snowmobiling, living life, and was super proud of his family. He knew everybody it seemed.
He will be missed by many…If I ever hear that Dick Withers joke again…
Heart felt condolences t the family.
Vienn, Lauren, Anthony, Danielle and family – we had the privilege of being friends with Gord for the past couple of years. You have our deepest sympathies. Gord loved his family more than anything in this world. Our hearts are broken over the loss of our dear friend and we are so grateful to have had him in our lives.
In a time and place where it doesn’t seem one can go the entirety of a week without hearing the world has lost an amazing person, yet again this world devastatingly holds true to its expectations in this regard. Although I didn’t know your father well, and having only met a few times, at work, at your weddings and at home visits – Lauren , Anthony and Danielle along with your lovely partners and beautiful babes, are the joyous legacy he leaves behind. Knowing you, has afforded me the opportunity to know him also. It would be impossible for such a charming, unquestionably fun and remarkably deep-in-love, family to exist without the epitome of these qualities, at its helm. In the so very unfair short time he spent over these past few years, seeing all of your families grow, he will undoubtedly carry on in the twinkle you all have in your eyes, the laughs you will share again one day when remembering and sharing stories of him, and the love that is so so very evident in all of your hearts. My deepest condolences to you all.
To Vienna, Lauren, Anthony and Danielle our condolences during this very difficult time. Woody was one of a kind and a great friend to our family. He bought so much laughter and happiness to us through the years and will always be remembered. Rest well dear friend. Lance, Aideen, Liam and Katherine.
So sooo sorry for your loss!
From time to time I would call Woody
Sir Gordon Of Woodcroft
Carrying himself like Royalty
Distinction, poise and not a bad dresser as well.
They’ll be lined up to get a tee off time with Sir Woody in Heaven.
Never Ever To Be Forgotten!
We are so sorry for your loss, for the few times we have met Gordon you can see that he was special. Thinking of you and your family
