elevated 1WEe1 With heavy hearts, the family shares that Grace De Sousa passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026, at the age of 64, after a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer.
elevated 1WEe1 She was the beloved wife of Mike, a devoted and loving mother to Samantha (Joe) and Steph (Matt), and the proudest, most adoring Vovo to Emery. She was the cherished daughter of the late Ines and Urbano. Grace’s world revolved around her family, and she never missed a chance to show up with love, food, encouragement, and quiet strength.
elevated 1WEe1 Her warmth, determination, and gentle kindness touched everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever loved by her family and friends.

I worked with Grace at Environmental Monitoring and Reporting Branch from 2013-2019. I am saddened to hear about her passing so
soon after retirement. Grace was a great person, competent, compassionate, calm and helpful to name a few. She was one of the nicest person I worked with. Rest in peace Grace. I miss you.

We are sincerely sorry to hear of Grace’s passing. Our sympathy to you Mike and your dearly loved daughters and granddaughter. It was our privilege to be a neighbour for so many years and watch your family grow. Grace was so appropriately named.
She has left a wonderful legacy for her family to honour and hold dear with great memories.
