elevated NqAnW Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that the family of Gregory Sullivan announce his passing on November 30th. Born in Toronto, Ontario in 1956 to Thomas and Evelyn (Hosick) Sullivan.
elevated NqAnW Greg is survived by his beloved partner, Linda, mother Evelyn; children Christopher (Stephanie) and Elizabeth; siblings Brenda (Greg), Louise (Kevin), and Daniel (Laura); and grandson, Arthur; as well as many other friends and family members. Predeceased by his father, Tom.
elevated NqAnW As a boy, Greg was known to bring home animals of all kinds – turtles and snakes were particular favourites. His care for wildlife continued throughout his life. He would always stop to help turtles cross the road or bring them to wildlife rescue if they needed medical attention.
elevated NqAnW Greg attended the University of Waterloo and obtained degrees in both geology and electrical engineering. He started his career working alongside his father at Litton Systems. He worked as an electrical engineer for most of his life. Over his career, he worked across several companies, including HP Inc., Genesis Microchip, and L3Harris.
elevated NqAnW Later on, Greg moved to Brampton, Ontario, where he started a family. His family later moved to Palgrave, Ontario, where he enjoyed peace in the country. Some of his greatest joys came from his children, Christopher and Elizabeth. They created many memories while spending time at their cottage in Whitestone, Ontario.
elevated NqAnW Gregory met his soul mate, Linda, at a dance in the fall of 2023. They had a beautiful relationship, with comfortable ease and shared humour that made it seem they had been together for decades. In the last several months, they supported each other through their respective cancer treatments.
elevated NqAnW Greg was blessed with the arrival of his grandson in July 2024. Greg loved to play with and spend time with Arthur, and had been making plans to relocate to Ottawa so he could spend as much time with him as possible.
elevated NqAnW Greg loved nature, dancing with friends, his dog Shelby, engaging in deep conversations, and spending time at the cottage. His laugh was contagious, heart-warming, and could lighten any room. He had a warm, playful nature and was known to affectionately tease the people he loved. He was a man of many passions. Whether it was beekeeping, geology, car mechanics, family history, photography, or Pokémon catching, Greg led a busy and fulfilling life.
elevated NqAnW Greg will forever be remembered for his humour, positivity, and his endless love for family and friends.
elevated NqAnW A service celebrating Gregory’s life will be held at Assumption Catholic Funeral Home on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. (visitation from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm). Instead of flowers, donations can be made to the National Wildlife Centre located in Caledon, or Princess Margaret Hospital.
elevated NqAnW Many thanks to all the caring nurses, doctors, and other hospital staff at Princess Margaret Hospital and Mount Sinai Hospital for their compassionate care and kindness.

Cousin Greg was the age of my older siblings, so I was always the observant little kid who sometimes tagged along. I appreciated his passion for what he considered to be important. He was dedicated to learning about nature and teaching us about what he knew.
Greg was a sensitive person who lit up when he was fully engaged.
