elevated dYJBZ Obituary
elevated dYJBZ Our dear mother, Grignion Fonseca passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Monday, February 25 in Unionville in her 92 year. Dear wife of the late Mr. Rui Fonseca, and predeceased by her children Dr. Avril MacDonald (Rob MacDonald) and Dr. Lynette Fonseca.
elevated dYJBZ She will be greatly missed by her children, Keith, Elaine (Phil) and Nigel (Melissa). She was a proud grandmother to Cassondra, Nicole, Graham, Andrew, Adriana (Scott) Donovan and Kevin. She also had a fond place in her heart for Simba, Belle, Tigger and Bentley.
elevated dYJBZ Mom was the heart of our family. Together with dad she left a privileged life in Nairobi to provide the opportunity for her children to further their studies. Watching their achievements and those of her grandchildren was a great source of pride. In addition to her work ethic, her love of camping and nature was passed down to her children and now grandchildren. Her strong faith and her love of music was key to her long life. A survivor to the end, she beat breast cancer twice and survived the passing of her eldest daughter. Eventually dementia and Alzhiemers took her away from us but she would still be able to sing her favourite songs and hymns until the last week of her treasured life. She lives on in all her family.
elevated dYJBZ In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.

It is with utter sadness, that we have learned of the death of our dear cousin Grignon. We remember her intelligence, cheerful personality, happy demeanour and always encouraging words through the years in the face of many ups and downs. We have happy and unforgettable childhood memories of a wonderful family which continued when we came to Canada. It was always a pleasure to get a telephone call from cousin Grignon and to speak to her even if we were not able to see each other. Our sincere and heartfelt condolences to cousin Grignon’s beloved family. They and their parents will always live in our hearts and prayers.
