It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss that we announce the passing of Gui-Sik Kwon on January 8, 2026, in Toronto, Ontario at the age of 79.
elevated lfSSo He was a beloved husband of 50 years to Eun-Joo Kwon (nee Lee). A loving father of James (Constance Chan) and Sharon (Matthew Tsung). He was a grandfather who cherished time with his grandchildren, Victoria, Sophia, Jordan, and Ethan, above all else.
elevated lfSSo He found joy in the simple moments of everyday life, such as his early morning walks with his wife, and he especially loved making people laugh and smile. A true handyman and a self-taught musician, he took pride in fixing things and filling rooms with music.
elevated lfSSo Gui-Sik will be sadly missed and held dear in the hearts of his many extended family and friends. He will be lovingly remembered and never forgotten.

elevated lfSSo 고인은 이은주(구 이 씨) 님과 50년을 함께한 사랑하는 남편이었으며, 제임스(콘스탄스 챈)와 샤론(매튜 층)의 자상한 아버지였습니다. 또한 손주인 빅토리아, 소피아, 조던, 에단과 함께하는 시간을 무엇보다 소중히 여겼던 다정한 할아버지였습니다.
elevated lfSSo 고인은 아내와 함께한 이른 아침 산책과 같은 일상의 소소한 순간들에서 기쁨을 찾았으며, 사람들을 웃고 미소 짓게 하는 것을 특히 사랑하셨습니다. 진정한 만능 재주꾼이자 독학으로 음악을 익힌 음악가로서, 고치는 일과 음악으로 공간을 채우는 데 큰 자부심을 느끼셨습니다.
