elevated HsetG Obituary
elevated HsetG It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Guido Cervi in Toronto at the age of 59. He was born in Toronto to the late Gaetano & Rosina (nee Rocca). Guy was a devoted husband to Mary who on May 25, 2024 would have celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary. Loving Father to Cassandra, Andrew and Deanna. Adored Brother to Ida (Mario). Uncle to Danielle (Scott) and Andrea (Step). Son-in-law to Franca and the late Antonio Gallo. Brother-in-law to Joe Gallo.
elevated HsetG Guy lived a life filled with love. Everything he did, he did it out of love for his family and many friends. He was always one to find joy in everything life had to offer, whether that be food, music, traveling, or entertaining. He lit up the room with his stories, his jokes, and his smile. To have known him was to feel at home, always welcomed into his family. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all. In memory of Guy, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

We were so shocked and deeply saddened by the news of Guy’s passing. Many memories come flooding back to me of our younger days at Mary Lake and family picnics. They were wonderful carefree days with family and friends enjoying a day together. Later I took a computer evening class and remember Guy being a very caring and patient teacher. He will be missed by many. Please know that he will be in our thoughts and prayers. RIP Guy till we all meet again.
Mrs. Cervi, Deanna, Cassandra, and Andrew….I am so sorry. I just learned of Mr.Cervi’s passing, and I am sad and shocked. Death is never easy to understand nor accept, and I pray that you all find the strength to move forward during this very difficult time. A big hug to all of you. Roberta ( “Ms Caputo”), Eliana and Ilaria xo

So deeply sorry for your loss Ida, Mario, Danielle and Andrea. Sending lots of love from our family to yours.
It is with immense sadness and disbelief I would like to express my condolences to the whole family. Guy is truly a Legend and I am so grateful to have had him part of my life. As children our many sleepovers were moments in time that will be cherished and held close to our hearts.
The planning and anticipation of a possible sleepover was enough to send my heart into orbit.
The Great Zi Gaetano would pick me up with his purple with white interior Mustang on a Friday afternoon and race up the 400 to Jane and Finch to launch a weekend of fun full of adventures.
There would be swimming, one on one basketball in the basement, playing cards, snakes and ladders and listening to Ida’s cool collection of the latest records. We would laugh and laugh until brought to tears with Guys great acted out interpretations of his weekly endeavors at school. A true great story teller with acted out performances.
Sometimes we would get overzealous and our Great Mother’s would cry out to cool it and we would respond “We can’t were groovin over here” in our attempted Scottish accents.
One year Guy received boxing gloves I think for Christmas. One pair did not stop us from engaging in pummeling ourselves into hysterics. Guy being left handed wore the left and I the right. He had a staggering left hook that introduced me to many brilliant shinning stars.
Fly free great cousin, I am so honored and grateful to have been part of your life.
Your Loving cousin,
Loreto “Lory” Rocca
To me, Guy will forever be that sweet little boy who played the part of the shark from jaws whenever we spent time in the Cervi’s backyard pool.
I have endless fond memories of the time my family spent with Rosina, Gaetano, Ida and Guy.
Heartfelt condolences to Mary, Cassandra, Andrew and Deanna, and to my Ida and Mario. May you be comforted by the love surrounding you.

My sympathies to Guy’s family and other friends. I had the pleasure of playing hockey with Guy on Friday nights the last couple of years. Always a great teammate and also tough to play against with a great shot. It won’t be the same without his quick wit and friendly smile in the dressing room. RIP.
Our deepest condolences to Mary and the entire family. May he rest in peace. 🙏🙏

Eternal rest grant onto him O Lord. May your perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithfully departed, through your mercy rest in peace.
We are all shocked and heartbroken at the tragic news of Guy’s passing. Growing up we cousins loved spending time together. Me, Lory, Dina and Guido (as we called him in the early days ) looked forward to seeing each other whenever possible. Whether it was the home visits planned by our parents or the many family weddings , it was always us four . We used to tease him because he was a year younger than us only to tell him years later how lucky he was to be younger! As we grew up we made a point of seeing each other whenever possible. As life got busier getting together became more challenging, but I can honestly say that when we did it was like no time passed and we were kids again. His beautiful smile and contagious laugh are forever embedded in my mind . My deepest condolences go out to Mary, Cassandra, Andrew and Deanna.Love you cuz!! God bless❤️❤️🙏

We are both shocked and saddened to hear about the sudden passing of Guy. Our deepest condolences to Mary, Andrew, Cassandra and Deanna. We had the pleasure of meeting Guy in the stands watching our son Cody play football with Andrew at St Michael’s College School. We created many memories travelling with the boys to Houston, and Detroit to name a few. We shared many laughs and joys watching the boys grow up and become men. Guy had an incredible sense of humour and was the master chef at our tailgate parties. Our hearts go out to all of you.
