It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Harold Van Stiphout, age 66, after a tough and courageous battle with Multiple System Atrophy, a rare form of Parkinsons. Dearly loved husband of Karen and beloved father of Petra, and son in law of Bruna Baldassi. Cherished brother of Gerda Brock (Mel), Fran Todd (Joe), Thea Cardy (Dave), Frank Van Stiphout (Christiane), and Tina Bergl, and brother in law of Bill Baldassi (Val) and Joanne Baldassi (Michael). Dear uncle to 17 nieces and nephews on both sides of the family. Let us not forget the bond between Harold and his devoted canine Lola.
elevated Qix1q Harold was a long time member of the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects. Harold was a valued employee of NAK Design Strategies for 30 years until retirement in August 2017. A big thank you to the many people at NAK who were devoted to Harold.
elevated Qix1q Thanks to Thea, Fran and Bill for their support at home with Harold’s care over the past year, and special mention to Lucas (Petra’s boyfriend) for his tireless assistance and support to Harold. Thanks also to Care Partners, the Mississauga Halton LHIN, Home Instead Personal Support and many family friends and neighbours who contributed time, advice and dog care while keeping Harold at home throughout his illness.

Rest in peace dear friend it was an honour knowing you for over 40 years as a friend ,best man at my wedding and co- worker you will be sadly missed and never be forgotten
I had the pleasure and honour of working with Harry for close to 30 years by the time I retired from the City of Brampton. He was a true gentleman and professional. He was truly honourable and fair in all of our dealings. I have fond memories of slogging through deep snow in -30 temperatures when Harry would drag me out to the Mattamy Deerfield subdivision to check on brick piers and noise barrier fences under construction. He worked tirelessly for his clients. I recall his joy when Petra joined his family. My deepest condolences to Karen and Petra.
