It is with a heavy heart that we announced the passing of Helen (Leny) Welter of Markham Ontario on Wednesday December 17, 2024.  Helen passed peacefully at home with her husband Theodore (Ted) by her side. Helen was born on January 17, 1930, to Richardus and Johanna Teunissen in the small town of Haps, Netherlands. She was one of 15 children (three of whom are still with us in Toronto)

elevated d4ho7 She is survived by her husband of 67 years Theodore, daughter Joanne (Norm), son Ted (Michelle) and son Jim . She leaves behind six grandchildren- Taylor, Graham, Austin, Cameron, Cole and Isabeau (Harper) and most recently one great grandson Wyatt.

elevated d4ho7 Helen was a passionate homemaker who opened her heart and home to family and friends with great frequency, always willing to host the numerous family get togethers.  Later in life she enjoyed a very successful career in retail sales, working well into her late 70s.
