elevated zgdV5 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Helena Oberc on the 24th of January 2026, at the age of 97.

elevated zgdV5 Born in Jablonica, Poland, Helena was the daughter of Stanislaw and Waleria. She was predeceased by her husband, Jan Materniak, son, Stanislaw Materniak (Suzanne), and second husband, Michal Oberc. Helena is survived by her son Mieczyslaw (Mathew) Oberc (Malgorzata) and her grand-children Danielle, Stefanie, Christopher and Alexander (Erica). In her final years she had the great fortune to become a great-grandmother to Rosalind and Beatrice. Her family was her greatest joy, and she will be remembered for her great sense of humour.

elevated zgdV5 Helena leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and deep love. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
