elevated wIMT9 Obituary
It is with sadness that the family of Helmut Stoeckl, 80, announce his peaceful passing at North York General Hospital on September 20, 2023. Born in Kernei, Hungary, on June 26, 1943, Helmut came to Canada with his parents after World War II, settling in Cabbagetown and then Scarborough, and finally North York. Here, he built a life with his loving and steadfast wife of 51 years, Dennie, and children Andrea (Bart), Janet, Gregory (Dina), and Erik (Lindsay). Beloved Opa of Benjamin, Henry, Charlotte, Oliver, and Claire. Predeceased by his father, George, and mother, Katharina, he is survived by his brothers Norbert (Barbara) and Tony. “Crash” Helmut will be remembered for his love of all things sports, being an “X-Men” Football Hall of Famer and the mastermind of our winter holiday trips to Florida.
