Obituary
elevated EGo2i Liz died peacefully on February 28, 2023. A fighter until the end, she lived her last years and days on her own terms. Elizabeth was a mother to four amazing daughters Leslie and Karen, predeceased. She is survived by her daughter’s Maureen and Michelle (Matheson) Moore, her grandchildren Kailin (Adrian) Murfin, Mallory and Cameron Dunlop, their fathers, Alan Beard and David Dunlop. Born in NYC, she was raised in Upper N.Y. until she attended Syracuse U. where she acquired her B.A. and M.R.S. In January of 1956 she married Richard and emigrated to Wingham ON, moving soon after to Toronto where she lived the remainder of her days. Along with being the daily parent for much of her children’s lives, Liz returned to OCAD and accomplished a degree in Textile Design in 1980. She would go on to found her own Custom Dye business, EHB Designs, with the help of associates and friends. The family is very grateful to her friends Sandy, Lia and Tom who stuck by her in friendship and with real.care.

A perfect neighbour, a great listener, a wonderful story teller and an avid gardener, Liz was someone we viewed as a a friend. More than anything, Liz was good to our son. She let him run amuck in her lovely backyard and drive his three-wheel up and down the driveway. When he got older, Liz never complained about the basketballs, baseballs and other assorted loudness from the boy next door! We are so sorry for your loss and we will miss Liz dearly. She was loved by the three of us.
