Peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on his 93rd birthday, December 26, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (2015) of 62 years. Caring and devoted father of Hilary (the late John), Hugh (Michelle), William (Sherine), Victor (Kimberley Lalla), Colin, Eileen. Proud Grandfather of Tara, Shannon, Kerry, Jonathan, Galen, Colin, Erin, Tara, Ashley, Trinity and great-grandchildren Brady, Jack, William, Weston, Emerson and Skylar. Dear brother to Edward and Bridget. He will be lovingly remembered in the hearts of family and many friends.
elevated rbkPL The family will receive friends at the HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC FUNERAL HOME, 211 Langstaff Road East (west of Bayview Avenue), from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 28. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place within the funeral home in the Chapel of St. Joseph on Friday, December 29 at 10:30 a.m. The final rite of committal will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery (8361 Yonge Street, Thornhill).

My condolences to Hugh’s family. I worked with Hugh at the Don Jail many years ago. Together, we taught First Aid procedures to fellow correctional officers. I enjoyed working with him because he was always well prepared, energetic and upbeat.
