elevated DPSyt Obituary

elevated DPSyt It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our strong and loving father, Ilija Pepic who left this world on April 20th at the age of 71. Ilija was a respected member of our community and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Ilija was born and raised in Bosnia and lived a very hard life growing up, losing both parents at a very young age. He later met his wife Manda, fell in love and wed in 1971, only a few short months of knowing one another. He then was determined to provide better opportunities for his future children came to Canada with his wife in 1972. Ilija was known for his generous and kind heart and committed work ethic.

elevated DPSyt llija worked extremely hard as a taper by trade for many many years, to ensure he built the best life he could for his family. Later Ilija and his wife Manda had four children that he loved very much. He had a passion for hunting and looked forward to hunting season each fall and winter season. He also loved soccer, hockey and enjoyed watching the games with a cold beer and some buttered popcorn. He took great joy in watching both of his sons play on the field. llija was a simple and quiet guy, who loved nothing more than having his family together around the dinner table, spending long hours with his favorite fur buddy Rambo, enjoying a Tim’s or Turska Kava, with a honey dip donut and playing with his four grandchildren.

elevated DPSyt Ilija was a loving Dida to his grandchildren, Luka, Matijas, Alias and Teo, whom he adored and loved dearly. He always had a smile on his face when he was with them, and he loved to spoil them with treats and gifts.
Those that were very close to llija knew that he was someone that they could trust and count on in a time of need. His generosity was displayed countlessly in the company of his dearest friends and family. As we say goodbye to llija, we take comfort in knowing that he no longer suffers and is now at peace. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Ilija will always be remembered with love and respect. llija Pepic is survived by his wife, Manda Pepic, his children Ana, Eva, llija and Marko, his sons-in-laws Rudy Spajic and Ivica Salopek, his grandchildren Luka, Matijas, Alias and Teo, and a community of family and friends who will miss him deeply. Rest in Peace Ilija. Your love and Light will always be with us.
