It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Gordon William Beddome on September 19, 2026, at Markham Stouffville Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 76.
Beloved husband of Maryanne (Grifoni) for 52 wonderful years. Loving father of Monica (Dean) and Mike (Michelle). Proud “Papa” to William, Ella, Samantha and Anthony. Dear brother of Sharon (Ernie) and the late Donnie. Predeceased by his loving parents, William and Nora Beddome. Cherished uncle to his nieces and nephews.
Gord was a loving family man who enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, especially a good round of golf, his morning coffee, and the time spent with those he loved. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family and friends.
The Beddome family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the generous support, kind words, and prayers received during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Gord’s memory may be made to ALS Canada

So sorry for your loss. Thinking of you and your family with warm wishes.
Our deepest condolences to the Beddome family. Gord was a tremendous friend. We will miss him dearly.
We have lost a treasured friend who feels more like family that we spent 51 years sharing much laughter when together. Even these past 5 years as Gord gradually lost his independence he never lost his sense of humour. We are so blessed to have had him as a friend and Godfather to Justin. Our 4 children share these same sentiments holding him in the highest regard with much love and memories of times spent with Gord, Maryanne, Monica and Mike.
Dear Michael,

It was impossible to be around Gord and not smile, as his humor and non-stop energy brought our club to life. I’ve been incredibly lucky to call him my friend. I will miss his jokes, his laughter, and the deep impact he had on me…more than words can say.
I am so sorry to hear about Gord, a cherished member of our family, and a man I’ve known since the day I was born.
Sadly, I hadn’t seen Gord for several years, but I know through family that he fought his illness with great dignity and optimism.
My deepest sympathies, thinking of you all.
Michael, sending you and your family my deepest condolences and wishes that your memories of Dad fill your hearts and help carry you through. May he rest in peace

My heart breaks for you and your family during this incredibly difficult time. Having lost my own father to ALS 12 years ago, I know firsthand the heartbreak this devastating disease brings and how deeply it impacts not only the person suffering, but everyone who loves them.
There are no words that can truly ease the pain of losing your dad, but I hope you find comfort in the love, memories, and beautiful moments you shared with him. A father’s love never truly leaves us, and I know his love will continue to live on in you, in your family, and in all the lives he touched.
Please know that I am holding you and your family so close to my heart. You don’t have to walk this journey alone.
May your dad rest peacefully, free from the pain and struggles of ALS. He will never be forgotten, and neither will the love he leaves behind.
My deepest condolences to your family. May your family be blessed with an abundance of love and support to carry all of you through this difficult time.
