It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Iolanda Arimini at the age of 93. She passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Iolanda was born on February 18, 1930 in Pacentro, L’Aquila in Abruzzo, Italy and was the youngest daughter of the late Giustino Tollis and Lucia Ciccone. She is predeceased by her husband of 69 wonderful years Gaetano in 2018. Gaetano and Iolanda were married in Pacentro, Italy and moved to Canada in 1959 with their two eldest children.
elevated EvgH1 She was the loving mother to Tony (Doris), Rina (Salvatore), Late Rosaria, Lucy (George) and Enzo (Heather). Proud nonna to Lori (Kevin), Cher (Paul), Carmine, Christina, Julia, Dante and Elizabeth. She was devoted to her family and worked tirelessly to provide and care for them.
elevated EvgH1 Iolanda was a devout Catholic who was a member of St. Paschal Baylon Church, where she dedicated her time in helping the parish altar society and was part of the Italian prayer group. She had a strong devotion to Mother Mary and spent her time in the perpetual adoration chapel.
elevated EvgH1 She will be missed and fondly remembered by her family, friends and caregivers.
May her soul Rest In Peace Amen.
