It is with profound sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Iolanda Piasentin, surrounded by the love of her family at home on July 24, 2026, at the age of 93.

Born on February 1, 1933, in Sesto al Reghena, Pordenone, Italy, Iolanda lived a life defined by love, faith, hard work, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Giacomo Piasentin, with whom she shared a lifetime of cherished memories.

Loving mother to Mary (Vito) and the late Susie, Iolanda was a proud and devoted Nonna to her cherished grandson, Matthew (Emma), who brought endless joy and pride to her life.

She is lovingly remembered by her sisters, Vittorina and Elsa, who reside in Italy. Iolanda was predeceased by her brothers, Guerrino and Luciano, and her sister, Lidia. She will also be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends whose lives she touched with her kindness and generous spirit.

Iolanda found great happiness in caring for those she loved. Her kitchen was always filled with the comforting aromas of homemade meals, and she took tremendous pride in keeping a warm, welcoming home. Family was at the heart of everything she did, and nothing brought her greater joy than having those she loved gathered around her table.

A woman of deep faith, Iolanda faithfully attended church every Sunday and carried her beliefs with quiet grace throughout her life. While she was known for her caring and nurturing nature, those closest to her also knew her wonderful sense of humour. She loved sharing a good dirty joke, often leaving family and friends laughing, a reminder that her warmth and wit were just as memorable as her generous heart.

Though her presence will be deeply missed, the love she shared, the traditions she passed on, the laughter she inspired, and the countless memories she created will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
