It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ippolito Morrone. God called Ippolito on Friday, February 13, 2026, and he passed away peacefully at Humber River Hospital at the age of 93, with his family by his side.
Beloved husband of Ida. Loving father of Mario, Antonio (Anna), Nadia (Gianluca), and Paolo (Giulia). Adored Nonno of Stefan, Cristina, Julian, Sofia, Raffaele, Andrea, and Adamo.
Born in Trenta, Cosenza, Italy, in 1933, Ippolito immigrated to Canada in 1959. He was an exceptionally hardworking man who gave everything he had to provide a beautiful life for his family.
His legacy is one of strength, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to those he loved.
A man of wonderful humor, he was a jokester who loved to laugh, joke, and sing. Whether he was tending to his garden, sharing his homemade vino, or preparing his amazing sopressata, his hands were always busy and his heart was always full. He was an incredible human being whose greatest gift was the deep, unconditional love he held for his four children and seven grandchildren.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved by his extended family and friends in Canada and Italy.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society/prostate cancer research.
