elevated NoCg9 It is with extreme sadness, that we announce the passing of our dad, Ivan Katic. He was a kind, honest and loving man. He was a loyal friend, loved by all. With a kind word and a quick smile, Ivan was always ready to lend a hand, and he was generous with offers of wine, sausage and invitations to pig roasts…his favourite. As much as he loved his wife and children, he adored his grand daughters and great grand daughter. He was the pillar and foundation of our family. Mom and Dad came to Canada from Croatia in 1970, with 2 little kids in tow. They always worked hard and built a good life for themselves and their children. Ivan is survived by his loving wife of almost 60 years, Marija, his children: Zdenko (Darlene) and Mirjana (Ted)
Grand daughters: Shawna (Pat), Kaila (Matt), Kathlene (Ethan) and Katie Great grand daughter Isabella.
Ivan is also deeply mourned by his sister, Barka, and his neices, nephews, cousins, in-laws and many friends.
He will be forever in our hearts, missed by us all. Rest in Peace, we love you always.

What can I say about such a kind man in a few short words, knowing him for a huge part my life.
Very kind, generous and yes meeting him for the first time when I was around 14 years old, a little intimidated. Mr. Katic will always have a very special place in my heart.
The family is blessed to have so many wonderful memories of there Father, Grandfather, Husband, Brother, Relative and Friend. He will never be far away, just close your eyes.
Mr. Katic, please say hi to my Dad for me, rest well dear person.
