elevated H3IKt Jacqueline passed away December 22, 2022 at 12.39 am at St Joseph Hospital from a brain bleed.
elevated H3IKt Jackie was born in Guyana to the late Milton and Elma Foo. She was a loving sister to deceased Willard, Waveney, Claudette, Bernadette, Raymond, Anthony, and Lizann. She will be missed dearly by Winnifred, Wonda, Lynette, Claude-Michael, Eddie and Yonnette. She will also be greatly missed by her son Andrew, his wife Vanessa and her 3 grandchildren, Carter, Karina and Austen
elevated H3IKt Jackie moved to Canada in 1973 and lived in several cities in Ontario.
elevated H3IKt In 2015, Jackie was diagnosed with Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy. She was a fighter and went home after many hospital stays. During her last 2 weeks, she was surrounded by her family who cared and loved her so much. She will be remembered as a carefree, joyous Guyanese lady who loved to bake, cook, make jewellery and find any reason to bring her family together for a fun time! We will dearly miss her but know she is dancing freely now.

Dear Jackie…. aka “sis”,
Rest in peace, you were not the same since July 4, 2015 since Ray’s untimely death. The Jackie before was so missed.
You will be always be remembered for your cooking, baking, laughter, but most of all for all the times we kicked off our shoes and danced together!
You enjoyed making your jewellery, and loved spoiling your nieces.
Sis, my wish is that you are out of the misery of living a poor quality of life. I pray you are at peace, rejoicing with your siblings and parents, & eating lots of curry.
I can’t wait to see you in my dreams, walking, dancing and flying freely.

Jackie we share a few years living together when we were growing up there is so much to say but you were always the funny one and often get us into trouble. Then we went our separate ways but keep in touch still have some of your oldies cassette some where. Your memories will be for always. God saw you getting tired and cured was not to be he put his arms around you and whisper come to me. Now heaven is your home. RIP.

Jackie was a very gentle and kind-hearted person. She has brought out the caring and nurturing side of my uncle Karl Birch. When we visited their home, we were in awe at the pictures of her that he hung around the house and the loving care and attention that was that was given by him to her. I recall sitting at my mom’s house and joking and laughing with her and she was always pleasant. She will be dearly missed. Sincere condolences to my uncle Karl and Jackie’s family. Cherish your memories with her and keep them close to your heart.

The years have rolled by without any contact with Jackie. We knew her as a kid, attended her wedding, and enjoyed many beautiful years together in Toronto, before we moved to Alberta, then lost contact with each other. Dear Raymond died suddenly when Jackie went into oblivion. How very sad for us all to learn these shocking news.
Although we had lost total contact with each other after these events, Facebook being our only contact at the time, went silent.
I may not say much, but I still feel the great loss of my dear family.

I have come back to this page many times now to write a tribute, but it’s just so difficult to articulate the words when we are simply not ready to say goodbye. The universe, sadly, has made that decision for us.
Jackie brought so many gifts to our lives, she was kind, caring, loving and sharing and would always welcome you in her home. She cared and loved our brother/Uncle Karl with all her heart and he in return gave her his heart.
She loved to make jewelry and especially loved to gift you with her beautiful pieces (bracelets, necklaces etc.). Thank you!
My family had the privilege of spending a summer with Jackie. We would go their home for daily swims and bbq dinners. Jackie was always happy to have us over to spend time with her. She embraced us with a beautiful smile, hug and giggling at something funny that was happening
Jackie and the Pool- At first, Jackie was scared to get into the pool- especially because it was brutally COLD and (secretly) she didn’t know how to swim. But after weeks of convincing her to get in and seeing Raymond swim like a fish/ she finally found the courage to get in and share in on the fun with us. Starting off with dipping her toes in for the first 2 weeks…and then gradually moving to the middle of the pool, paddling her feet in the water while holding onto the edge of the pool for dear life LOL. She was always open to trying new things!
We will cherish and hold tight to our memories for comfort.
To Uncle Karl and the Foo family – losing a loved one feels like a fog casting a veil over your life. We want you to know it won’t always be that way. The fog will clear, and the sun will shine again. We are sending you our heartfelt sympathies and condolences. We wish you courage and healing during these toughest of days. Cry when you feel like it. Let the laughter roll when it comes. And know that Jackie will forever live on in the journeys that you shared together.
