Jadviga Perkons

elevated 4Utg6 Passed away on January 16, 2023 at the age of 98 at St. Joseph’s Health Centre due to complications from an infection. Predeceased by her husband Harijs Perkons.  Cherished mother to Janis, Juris (Ruth) and Martins and devoted grandmother to David and Janet.  Jadviga was born on a farm in the village of Aglona, Latvia and was happiest being out in the great outdoors tending to her garden and getting her hands dirty.  But most of all, she looked forward to spending time at her cottage, located in a Latvian community called Mezciems, in Bracebridge, Ontario.  She enjoyed attending and singing at the community events and would keep busy raking leaves, moving large rocks and even up to the age of 95 would enjoy a ride on the back of her son’s ATV.  A private family service has been held with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
