elevated BsGh2 It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of James Fermin Alonso on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at Cardinal Abrozic Houses of Providence in his 90th year with family by his side. Much loved husband of Romana for 63 years. Beloved father of Jaime (Carol) and Veronika (Bruce). Grandfather to Cameron (Eden) and Katie (Charlie). Dear younger brother to Juanito (Pili) in Spain. A relative to family in Canada and Spain. He enjoyed traveling throughout the globe with family and friends from both Canada and Spain. A son, brother, friend, cousin, uncle, and especially a grandfather.

We are so sorry to hear of your father’s recent passing. I have fond memories of him and our chats when at their house in Lorne Park, when visiting you at McMaster U, and as the proud father of the groom at your wedding day with Carol. He was always engaging and full of life, and his enjoyment showed. We share our sincere condolences to you, Carol, Cameron and Kate.

Sorry to hear the news of your father passing. I have many fond memories of your dad playing soccer against four or five of us in the backyard. Good thing he had the trees as his teammates or we may have actually won a game or two.
He was always very welcoming to us all and fun to be around. Our condolences.

La verdad es que no puedo creer que mi primo Jaime , nos haya dejado. Para mi siempre ha sido mi primo admirado y querido. Siempre recordaré los veranos en Mangirón por su acogida y trato cariñoso hacia mi madre, Julia, y todos nosostros.
Quiero pensar que sigue alli con todos vosotros, aunque no le pueda volver a ver.

Jaime and Carol – so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Alonso. I remember meeting him at their Lorne Park home and he was always kind and welcoming. Losing such an important person is hard and we wish you and your entire family our sincerest Condolences 🙏
