elevated qdPmS Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jenny Carr at the Baycrest Long Term Care Home, at the age of 96. She was so loved by so many, and also known by everyone as Nanny.

elevated qdPmS Born in Toronto, she was the Beloved daughter of the late Victoria and Walter Kowalski, and was the cherished youngest sibling to her late sister Bernice St. Laurent.  She was a loving mother to Joanne (Joe), Trina, loving Grandmother to Taryn (Mike), Mark, and Kelly, and great Grandmother to Abigail, Aidan, and Ariana. She will sadly be missed by her nieces and nephews Theresa, Diane, Linda and Dennis and the late Michael, and all her great nieces and nephews. She had a special place in her heart for Lidia and John Machado, they will miss her dearly.

elevated qdPmS Nanny was a strong, independent and caring woman who dedicated much of her life to taking care of the people and furry friends she loved.  She loved the Price is Right and Bingo.  She had a wonderful sense of humour, a quick wit, and always seemed to have a story to tell. Her strength, warmth and unforgettable personality touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

elevated qdPmS Jenny’s family extended far beyond those connected to her by blood. She was also deeply loved by those who became family along the way. One person in particular was Kelly. To Kelly she was never simply an aunt’s mother or a family friend. She was family in every way that mattered, her third granny, her beloved Nanny, and a cherished part of the family.  She was always there, sharing in the celebrations and becoming part of the memories that our family will carry forever.

elevated qdPmS She leaves behind not only a family who loved her dearly, but a lifetime of memories that will be fondly treasured.

elevated qdPmS Nanny will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her stories, laughter, strength and loving spirit will remain in our hearts always.

elevated qdPmS Rest peacefully, beautiful Jenny (Nanny)You were loved beyond measure, and you always will be.

elevated qdPmS The family also wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the exceptional staff at Baycrest Nursing Home, for their care and compassion.  She loved them as her family; Charlotte, Esther, Bingo and Lisa and Dr. Evan Chong.

elevated qdPmS The family requests that any donations be made to Baycrest Long Term Care Home.
