It is with heavy hearts that we share with you that our beloved Jhon Joshua “JJ” Panela has entered into rest on August 20, 2024, at the age of 17 years old, in Toronto. He was the cherished son of Felicisimo Panela Jr. and Avelina Quillopo, and the dear brother of Joanne Panela and her husband, Dastyn.
elevated JGMMN He was deeply loved and supported by his family, friends, school mates, and basketball team. JJ had many gifts in playing basketball, artistic abilities, and showing compassion to others.
elevated JGMMN JJ touched the lives of everyone he met with his warmth and kindness. We find comfort in our Christian faith, knowing that JJ is now in the presence of our Lord.
elevated JGMMN We deeply appreciate all the messages and prayers of support and condolences we have received. JJ’s memory and legacy will forever live on in our hearts.

Even though we weren’t friends, the few times I’ve seen you in halls or visit your friends in my classes were memorable. You were funny and charismatic. I didn’t know you but I knew your name and smile. Rest well, maybe play basketball with God, see if you win.
