elevated Y9ciJ With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of João Filipe Oliveira Costa who left us far too soon at the age of 30.
elevated Y9ciJ Johnny was a true original — a soul fueled by speed, laughter, and love. Whether behind the wheel of a souped up car, kicking up dust on a dirt bike, or cruising the open road on a motorcycle, he found joy in the journey and freedom of the ride. His garage was more than a workspace; it was a sanctuary, filled with stories, grease-stained memories, and the roar of engines that echoed his passion.
elevated Y9ciJ But more than anything, Johnny loved deeply — especially when it came to family. He was the one who showed up with a smile and infectious laugh, and made ordinary moments feel like traditions. He was the rock, the joker, the fixer, and a friend — the heartbeat of every gathering.
elevated Y9ciJ He is survived by his mother Silvia Oliveira, his father João Costa, and his brothers Kevin Oliveira Costa, Steven Oliveira Costa, his sister Haley Teixeira, and step parents Ricardo Texeira and Cecilia Boucinha who will carry his memory forward with pride and love.

It’s truly heartbreaking to be saying goodbye so soon. You were taken far too early, and the weight of this loss is heavy on all who knew you.
You always showed up with that unforgettable smile and a hug that felt like home. Whether it was a quick wave or a 10 minute chat, you never passed by without stopping to say hello when you saw us outside Anthony’s house….that’s just who you were. Thoughtful, warm, and full of love.
Your brother isn’t just a friend to us, he’s family, he’s our brother. And because of that, you felt like family too.
Please rest easy knowing we’ll be here for him. We’ll watch over him, stand by him, and protect him the way you always would have.

Johnny was a beautiful soul — genuine, kind, and full of life — and his absence is felt more deeply than words can express.
Johnny will always be remembered for his unforgettable smile and the way he never passed by without saying hello, no matter what he was doing. He had a rare gift for making people feel seen and valued, always taking the time to stop, chat, and truly connect. There were no limits to the conversations we’d have — about family, friends, life, the future, and of course, his ‘toys’.
He had a deep passion for his cars and bikes — always outside, hands on something, fixing, fine-tuning, or just enjoying the process. You could tell it brought him joy and peace. Some of our best moments were spent chatting beside him while he worked, the time slipping away without notice. It was in those everyday moments that his true character shone through — open-hearted, full of curiosity, and always willing to help, no matter how busy he was.
He wasn’t just a neighbor — he felt like a little brother. Someone you looked out for, shared laughs with, leaned on, and admired. For someone so young, he touched more lives than most do in a lifetime — a true testament to his heart, character, and the love he carried within him.
We were lucky to know him, and we’ll carry his memory with us always — in the sound of a revving engine, in a friendly wave across the driveway, in the kindness we show others, just like he did.
Rest easy, Johnny. You were one of a kind, and we are better for having known you. You will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

I’ll never forget the day we met at the kids’ swimming lessons… and then your boys and my girls became as close as family. All the great memories we have together and watching your boys turn into such great young men. You raised them so well.
I’ve lived abroad so long but every visit home I came by and just love you all so much. It’s so hard to be so far away at this time. I want to just hug you all so much. Boys… I love you so much and my heart aches for you all… and little Hayley too.

Johnny was one of the few people who would leave an impact through any interaction. Whether it was working on our bikes together, helping with one of my cars or just conversating on life. Johnny was always there for anyone who needed him. He was the type of neighbour/friend everyone wants but only some would get to experience. I’m gonna miss you bro, even going outside doesn’t feel right anymore knowing that you’re not there to have a chat and laugh with. The memories and legacy you left will never be forgotten and i am beyond grateful to have experienced the time we had as neighbours.
