elevated bCTy5 It is with great sadness that the family of João (John) Quintas Pinto announce his peaceful passing on June 30, 2022, at the age of 84. João was born on January 24, 1938, in Santa Barbara de Nexe, Algarve, Portugal to António de Jesus Pinto and Vitória Quintas. João married the love of his life, Maria Cremilde in 1958. To this devoted union was born his precious daughter, Eduarda. Together, they immigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1973. It was at the age of 14, that João developed a lifelong love of woodworking and excelled to a professional level. For over 45 years, he was a skilled wood worker and cabinet maker. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to João. He loved spending time with his family and friends; sharing many stories and enjoying good meals together. He was fully devoted to his family and friends and would often say that his greatest joy was raising his daughter. He was an extremely proud grandfather to Lauren.
elevated bCTy5 He will be dearly missed by his devoted wife, Maria Cremilde, loving daughter Eduarda (Anthony), proud granddaughter Lauren (Cory), great-granddaughters Mila and Chelsea, cherished sisters, Maria and Gabriela (Daniel), nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends in both Canada and Portugal.

It is with such sadness that we have lost a great soul. I have such fond memories of senhor Joao. He was a kind, soft spoken man with such a beautiful heart. I will always remember his smile, his great disposition and jokes that he came out with that always made me laugh.
He will be surely missed by me and all. May you Rest In Peace.

A gentleman and a man who’s love for his family he worn on his sleeve and showed unconditionally, Always he will walk alongside now as your guardian Angel. Querido tio, tu partiste e em silêncio dissemos o último e eterno adeus. A hora é de luto e de tristeza, mas perante tão definitivo desfecho apenas nos resta o aceitar, o melhor que podemos, os desígnios de Deus.
