We will try to remember to keep breathing…but right now it feels hard without you here
Dad I just wanted to start off by saying I Love You so much . You were the greatest Dad on this earth.
You helped Mom care for us. You cooked, cleaned, did laundry, fed us, bathed us, put us to bed. Not a lot of men do that.
You were a wonderful role model.
You were a joker, loved dancing in your younger days.
You loved making your homemade wine, sausage.
You loved playing dominoes, watching Price is right, family feud and the news.
Also loved watching your soccer games, Benfica fan all the way.
You and Mom were each other’s soul mates. You were always together never apart. You truly showed your children through the love you had for one another what true love is by the way you lived with each other. I always said I would hope to find someone like you Dad , and I did.
When Mom passed away you were so heartbroken and I tried doing what I could to fill your life with happiness but I could see in your eyes you were missing the love of your life. You always told me I was doing to much for you but your my Dad and it was never to much. I’m thankful to have been able to care for you and be there for you until the day you passed.
Now you can be with the love of your life in heaven and be happy.
Thank you for always being there for me. I’m the person I am today because of you.
I will miss you so much. I am glad to be your daughter and so happy that you are my Dad.
Love you and will miss you forever. Always in my heart.
vavo, i don’t even know where to start… i still can’t believe you’re gone. thank you for the most beautiful 24 years of my life with you by my side. thank you for being my dad and teaching me so many amazing things. it makes me so sad that i won’t wake up with you and vavo in the next room ever again, but knowing i have the two of you watching over me forever brings me so much comfort. i’ll miss all our inside jokes we would share all day long. i would do anything to come home after work and see you sitting on the couch with vavo, kya, and bubbles just one last time. you told me she was waiting for you in heaven, and you were right. i hope you’re at peace with your soulmate again. i will miss you every single day for the rest of my life. “two-two”, until we meet again. 💗
Dear vavo, I honestly don’t have enough words to express how I’m hurting.
I loved you more than you could ever imagine, you taught me how to be a man and take care of family no matter what, you taught me hard work pays off and not to take anything for granted.
When I was a child I remember you used to sit me on the kitchen sink n we’d headbutt each other n you’d pretend like it hurt just to see me laugh. We used to watch the flinstones together n you’d scream yabadaba-doo just to see me laugh n giggle.
We’d sit down n watch the price is right, family fued, wheel of fortune and eat the drum stick icecreams and laugh at how you always had the right answers.
You’d tell me how proud you are of me and the man I’m becoming when you’d see me coming home from work all dirty and you’d still ask me to sit there with you and watch shows or even just enjoy eachothers company.
I miss when we’d go walk at the mall together or you’d sit outside with me to watch me work on my car or play my music loud.
There were countless times we’d sit on the couch and watch Benfica games and complain about the team but it was our team and we were behind them no matter what. It’s the little things that count in this lifetime.
I miss when you would drop me off to school every morning even with it being a minute walk away, you insisted on dropping me off and picking me up for lunch to come home n eat with you everyday.
You and vavo made this house a home, without either of you here it doesn’t feel like a home anymore. I miss you more than words can explain and I thank you for all the lessons you’ve taught me over my 21years of being your bestfriend. I wish I could come home from work one more time and give you and vavo a hug n fist bump.
May you finally be at peace with vavo in heaven
I love you dad and bestfriend❤️
