elevated ufG5F Marie Francoise Silva was the cherished daughter of Safwat and Josephine Abdel-Malek, the beautiful sister of Sherif, the loving wife of Luis, and the doting mother of Kristen and James. Marie was originally from Cairo, and grew up in Toronto. To Lewis and Family
Marie was the most beautiful, funny, artistic, honest, strong, intelligent , charismatic, friend and teacher I was ever blessed to know.
Marie remains today as a powerful and free spirit who will forever be remembered and loved.
Marie was colleague and while I did not know her for a long time, it was always lovely to see her warm smile.
Marie has left us far too soon and I send my condolences and prayers to her family and friends.
During this time of grief I pray that Marie’s family may be able to find some comfort knowing that she is now in the loving arms of our Lord.
Rest In Peace Marie.
Marie and I first crossed paths at St Gabriel Lalemant RC School. Her smile, wit, charm and laughter made us fast friends. Every time our paths crossed over the years we gabbed as if time stood still. A light has been extinguished on this earth, but a vibrant Angel now shines in heaven. I admire her strength and courage. Her legacy will live on in her family and all those she touched. Until our paths cross once again Marie, rejoice in being whole once again. My deepest sympathies for Marie’s husband, children, family and close friends. Au revoir min amie. 💖😇
I changed it again and it was autocorrected to min once again. Please change it to ” mon ” and erase these other messages.
Luis, Chrissy and Jamie- it is with very deep sadness that we share our condolences with you on the passing of Marie- we will always remember her as a person who lived life to fullest and was so generous with sharing her smiles and love with all those who were blessed to know her. We are so sorry to hear about Marie’s passing. Our condolences and prayers to you all.
Dear Luis & Jamie, chère Kristen & to all members of Marie’s family,
Our sincere condolences on the loss of your beloved Marie.
Doug & I got to know your family as neighbours and for many years. Marie was not one to work outside a lot, that was Luis’s territory. I (Diane) have always enjoyed our discussions when she showed up outside on her way somewhere to go buy food or whatever she needed to entertain. It was obvious she was an excellent cook and hostess.
We know that the last years of her life were difficult ones and you, her family, were there for her.
May you find comfort in knowing that you were with her and she left knowing she was loved.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you in these difficult times.
Sincerely,
Diane Durand & Doug Winter
Marie was my Oprah. I am so sorry for your loss.
Marie, you left us too soon, but you made your mark in our hearts. You gave a new meaning to the words: Halloween parties and martinis. Your contagious laughter will always be remembered. Until we meet again. Your star will shine brightly upon all of us.
Our deepest sympathies to Luis, Margo, Jamie, Kris and Sherif on the passing of Marie. Words cannot express how sadened we are to hear of her passing. Lucy has many fond memories of happy childhood days spent together enjoying backyard swimming pool parties and more.
The ones that love us never really leave us.
Marie, our hearts are saddened by your departure from the world. We will miss you and will miss your beautiful smile and spirit. What comforts us is that you are now with the angels and saints in a place where corrupt bodies no longer exist. God said that after we leave this world: “God shall wipe all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away.” Revelation 21:4
We know that we now have an angel in paradise watching over us and praying for us. Till we meet again we will miss you and you will continue to live in our hearts and memories.
Marie, our hearts are very saddened by your departure from this world. What comforts us is that we know that you are now out of the corrupt body and that you are surrounded with angels, saints and loved ones. You are in a place where God says: “God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow nor crying. There shall be no pain, for the former things have passed away.” Until we meet again we will miss your beautiful smile and joyful spirit, but you will continue to live in our hearts and memories.
My sincerest and deepest condolences. Maria was a beautiful lady with a charismatic and charming personality. Her loving spirit will be greatly missed.
Dearest Silva Family,
One of the fondest memories I have from my early twenties was when I was over for a visit during your dinnertime. I remember everyone was there contributing to making a wonderful meal, laughing and chatting before we all sat down to enjoy each others company and a delicious pizza. Sitting with your family, smiling, receiving a hug from Marie, and sharing stories about our day was something intensely comforting during a troubled time in my life. I will always remember Marie’s warm smile and how it reached her eyes. The feeling of being part of such a happy family moment is something I will always treasure. My heart and thoughts will always be with you Kris, Jamie and Luis.
Much love,
Vlad
Dearest Margo:
We pray for God to give you, Chico, Luis, Kristen, Jamie – the patience and courage enduring Mimi’s passing.
Your warmth and affection for all of us who came to know you over the years are a treasure we all cherish.
On behalf of all of us, Love
Myra and Nabih
From the very first time I met your AMAZING wi
fe and mother, I admired her zest to “party” and live life!
In all the time I have been privelged to call her a friend, never a bad word was said about anyone. She was the most positive person who focused on the blessings in her life! Thank you for sharing her with us!
She will always be missed but never forgotten.
Luis, Kris, Jamie – What a beautiful person Marie was with a smile that lit up every room. I am so very sorry you have lost such a beautiful and big part of your life. Our hearts are with you! With love, Ashley, Dianne, Dean, Alyssa, Marshall Devlin
The Marie that I knew was even more than that big smile and presence that would light up any room. She was the ultimate role model, someone that I looked up to and aspired to be like. I always admired how loving she was to her husband Luis and to her kids Kristen and Jamie. In fact, she mattered so much that her opinion and approval of my wife Rachel when they first met meant a great deal. I will never forget what She said, “Dan, she’s fantastic!”
Marie, you were fantastic!
You will always be in our hearts and missed dearly.
Luis, Kristen, Jamie and Family,
our sincerest condolences for your loss. She was a beautiful woman. May Marie Rest In Peace.
In our prayers.

Our dearest Friend Margo
