elevated GPjdy The family of John Chynoweth, son of John Chynoweth Sr. and Diane DiFlorio, announces with sorrow his sudden passing on December, 13, 2025 at the age of 57.
elevated GPjdy Beloved son, nephew, brother, uncle, and friend to many, John will be missed by all whose life he touched. Whether brightening a stranger’s day with a joke, or regaling the room with a funny, often self-deprecating story, to his family, life-long friends in the Streetsville-Meadowvale area, and to his co-workers and customers, a world without John is a loss immeasurable.
elevated GPjdy As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations to The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation would be greatly appreciated as they took such amazing care of John and gave us a few more years with him.

Having met John in Jerusalem while Al and I were on tour and John was working his way through Europe I must say was a memorable experience! Had a lovely visit!
Johnny was the best. 🙁 I feel so lucky that I got to know him.
Len and I have know John since he was a boy. He grew into a loving and wonderful man. He loved to make people laugh and feel comfortable. He was devoted to his family and his friends adored him.
He will be greatly missed.

I met John through him working with my best friend. Day 1, he greeted me with such a warm smile & big hug meeting me. Although he was a softy at best, he was also hilarious. John, may you fly high & be at peace….You will be missed by many. With love, Loghan.🪽
To John’s parents and family, I knew John when I lived in Streetsville, I remember most his smile, his way of making me laugh. I tried to find him through the years , couldn’t remember how to spell his last name or know if he was on social media! It is with great sadness I found out about his passing and Im truly sorry we did not connect. John Im sorry! ❤️
After hearing yesterday about John’s, passing it brought back a lot of memories on falconer Drive.🥲John was that friend who constantly made you laugh and he had the biggest beautiful smile. I tried to find him over the years, but I was unsuccessful, and with that I feel a lot of regret. I Want to thank you for all the years of your friendship. I have never forgotten you and I’m sure I will see you one day, sending tons of hugs to your friends and family.
My family met John at turtle Jacks . He quickly became a friend and was loved by my family. He even came on vacation with us and was supposed to come agin this summer. You will be sadly missed and will be with us in spirit. Thanks for all the laughs and entertainment. Will miss you calling me ” rocking roni”. RIP my friend. Condolences to entire family. 🩵
John had a way of making everyone feel seen. He always cracked jokes that made me laugh, and he genuinely tried to bring smiles to the people around him. He used to call me his Nigerian princess, and that’s something I’ll always hold close.
Walking into work without seeing John has been incredibly disheartening. it just doesn’t feel the same. He brought so much light into that space, and his absence is deeply felt.
I will miss him. Rest in peace, Johnny . You will never be forgotten.
I don’t even know where to begin to write this! How do you write a condolence for somebody so much younger than yourself?
I first met the Chynoweth family when John was about 5 years old! My mum was their babysitter, and then when I got old enough, I babysat them on weekends if Diane and John went out. Those 4 kiddies were the best behave children that anybody could ever wish to babysit!!! John being the eldest was always so helpful to me. I have 100 funny stories of events that happened on our babysitting weekends! John and I when we met up later in the years, would reminisce and remember things that happened on those Saturday nights in their townhouse, in the basement, that involved 2 brothers rough housing around, hitting the brand new wood panelling on the wall, cracking it down 1 panel!!!! Nobody got in trouble as Big John, was a gentle giant! Phew!! John, Mark, Lisa and Chrissy were more like my siblings than just children. I babysat! My mom and Diane are so close they are like sisters! This is so unfair to loose such a wonderful, kind, loving man. This has hit my mum, myself and my brothers very hard. We have been left with such wonderful happy memories of John John.

Very saddened to hear of John’s passing. I remember him as very kind from when we attended St. Joseph’s. Deepest sympathies to you all.
No matter how stressful the day was, John would find a way to make us laugh and put a smile on our faces. He walked into a room and you knew he was there—you heard his laugh, or heard him walking around making jokes.
After working with John for almost five years, his absence has been more than noticeable. Our team will never be the same without him. We will never forget you John ❤️
