elevated pBGQH Obituary
The family is saddened to announce the passing of John on Friday, January 22, 2021.
Loving father of Giancarlo, Alexander, and Christian.
Beloved son of Teresa and her late husband Joao.
Dear brother and brother-in-law of Tony and Maria, Joe and Franca, Luis and Marco.
He will be lovingly remembered by his extended family and many friends.
I’m sad tonight
I didn’t want you to go this way.
Tears come to my eyes thinking that your life was not long enough.
You overcome tragic events but you were strong, always wanted to cherish life and love every moment of your journey.
I won’t forget our memories, I’ll be strong, I’ll get rid of the sadness and smile just at the thought of you being in a much better place.
You probably have wings to fly away through the sky, to check on us, saying your goodbyes and being a wondeful guardian angel.
You’ll be missed, I’ll still be sad of being here and you in heaven but smiling for the day we will meet again.
God Bless you.
The Emiliani family is sending our sincere and deepest condolences …may John be at peace free of pain .. anguish… worry.
Healing for all of his family especially his 3 handsome sons Giancarlo , Alexander, Christian . Rest in eternal peace .
Kind and welcoming. Gracious and modest. Industrious and artistic. With a sharp mind and keen eye, he saw the world, his family, sons and friends as a work of art, a thing of beauty that he made his major work. The world is what you make it, and John’s vision of a more perfect world made it better, more beautiful, more just. I feel blessed to have known him and will live on in a time and a world that urgently needs an artist’s touch and more men like John.
My dear brother in law. You had a heart of gold. You welcomed me into the family 41 years ago and always treated me like a sister. You were funny and made me laugh. You were kind, honest and loved your family unconditionally. I will cherish the memories forever and will never forget you. Rest in peace Sweet Angel. xox
John was a lovely and kind human being, he was a great neighbor and he volunteered his time to make our community a better place to live in. He was caring and friendly to everyone. He will be greatly missed by everyone. Sending my deepest condolences to his family. RIP John.
To the Fagundes family and friends, please accept my condolences for your loss. John was my neighbour and friend, we lived in the same Co-op and served on the Board of Directors. He was always very fair and fearless when it came to doing the right thing. He was a vibrant and loving person and gave alot to our community. John was very fun to be around and always making you laugh. I will miss his sense of humour and humility. I will miss him. Rest in peace dear John, you are with the angels now.
My deepest condolences to John’s family and friends. John lived in the Co-op I manage and was a true spirit.
He donated much of his time volunteering on various committees, being very particular that the garden was tended to just so.
John was the President of the board and I as the manager travelled to a conference in Victoria, B.C. We became good friends during this time.
John had a heart of gold and was always telling me how much he loved his boys.
I will miss you my friend.
Rest in peace John until we meet again.

Growing up John was like a second father to me, which was a blessing given how great of a father he was to his 3 sons throughout our childhood. I remember him to be a funny, caring man and a great friend.
John, although it’s been a while since we’ve last seen eachother, I am deeply saddened by your passing. The void left in the lives of some of my oldest, best friends is one that cannot be filled.

“I met him on the dance floor.” That’s a song lyric which is also the way in which John and I met. We saw each other while dancing at retro night, originally at Zipperz. We continued that dance until last March when Covid shut the dance down.
John was such a ‘force majeure’. I know he would have joined me and his many other friends when the dance floor re-opens.
I feel privileged to have known him and been able to express our love and say good-bye on the phone.
John was a beautiful man and he had such a sense of style! His outfits were legendary in their creativity and he was a ball of energy. I am heartbroken by his loss.
My deepest condolences to John’s family. I met John through friends five years ago. I was struck by his kindness and artistic talent. He had a way of making you feel as if you had known him your entire life. From day one he spoke so fondly of his sons and brothers. My only consolation is that John is no longer suffering. May God keep all of you close and bring you comfort knowing John is in a better place. I am so blessed for having been given the chance to have crossed paths with John.
I was one of John’s neighbors and I’d like to share my deepest condolences to his loved ones. John was a very kind man and will be truly missed.
RIP, John.
Christian our deepest condolences to you and your family. Love Orsola, Vince and Nonna Mia

John was one of my dearest friends, and a wonderful person to be around and I will remember him for the rest of my life.
John brought lots of joy to the World and will be missed tremendously by many.
I believe John has started a new journey and one day we will be reunited.

Big Hugs M
My deepest condolences to all John’s family and friends.
I would like to share my favourite poem which seems appropriate
“Come to the edge” he said
“We can’t, we’re afraid” they responded
“ Come to the edge” he said
“We can’t, we will fall” they responded
“Come to the edge” he said
And so they came
And he pushed them
And they flew
Embrace your new wings John and may you dance in the clouds forever.
Farewell my friend
To the family and friends of John I send my sincere condolences.
I am absolutely gutted by the loss of this wonderful man.
I know he will let us know he’s ok in small messages.
I am just so sad he wasn’t here longer.
Mark
