elevated QPAad Passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Marie (Jean). Loving father of Gerald, Andre and his wife Tracy, Mary and husband Axel. Loved by granddaughters Alexandra and Elizabeth and fiancé Justin. Dear brother of Claire, Jovita, Kenneth, Albert, Bernice, Gerald, Bridget, Bernard and Paul, along with his many sisters and brothers-in-law. He will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.

I worked at Neilson from 72 to 86, had many meetings with John, he was always very calm, happy and helpful, he always provided the necessary information on costing of products. The company management had good views of him, he was always respected.
Rest in peace John. Looking at Obituary you are leaving a great family.
I worked at Neilson’s from 1969 to 1977 and my husband Bob worked there from 1973 to 1989 and have many great memories of John. Our sympathy goes out to all John’s family. He will be missed I’m sure. Peggy and Bob Johnson

We would like to offer our condolences to the De Souza family as well. John is one of the many cousins that I have lost in recent years; it is so sad for all of us.
On behalf of my mum, Mary Gomes, (nee Rodrigues) – Leroy’s cousin, and our family, I send my deepest sympathy to Leroy’s family. I remember him as a nice kind person. May he rest in peace. 🙏🏼
My sincere condolences for John’s family. I have the privilege working for John in my early years at William Neilson. He was a wise, diligent and well-respected Finance leader. He was resourceful and light-hearted and I have learnt much from him. Rest in peace, John.
My condolences goes to John’s family and friends. I’m sure he will be dearly missed. I worked with and for John at Neilson’s. John was one of the most considerate and helpful managers I ever dealt with. It was always a pleasure to deal with him.
