John Low peacefully passed away Thursday August 4, 2022 at Glynnwood Retirement Facility. Born to the late Elizabeth (nee Cronin) and Samuel Low in Scotland. Predeceased by his four siblings Mary, Helen, Jean and Robert. He was a former welding instructor at George Brown College and a long time member of the Summit Golf Club.
elevated Ts1le Dearest Uncle to 10 nieces and nephews and their spouses, fondly remembered by his many great and great-great nephews and nieces, extended family and friends.
elevated Ts1le The family will receive friends at the Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, 211 Langstaff Road East (South of Hwy 407 at Bayview Ave.) on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at 12:00 pm, in the Chapel of St. Joseph, which is within the funeral home. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations made to Parkinson Canada would be appreciated by the family.

I Knew John, Ella, and their Mom as we all lived at the Atrium at 33 Elmhurst Avenue together for many years. They were all such a wonderful family and we sang lots of nights to the wee hours. Due to me moving out of the building I lost contact with John but have always thought of him and your family many times and fondly remember all the laughter and fun we had over the years. John was a wonderful man and so kind and caring. God has him now and he is in his eternal glory. Will have a Mass said for John and will keep him and your family in my prayers.
John was one of my best friends at Summit ( but we first met at Uplands in the late ‘60s). He and I shared many stories during our many ‘walks’ at the club and I can’t tell you how many times I told the jokes he told us.
He took care of his parents; he took care of all of his siblings. He was a proud man and we were all very proud of him. Salu…. my friend…will always miss you…. Ira Traves
