elevated o3vEL It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of John (Hans) on October 24, 2018 at the age of 86.

elevated o3vEL John was born in Romania and came to Canada in 1948.  In 1953, he married Katie (Gatti), the love of his life and was grateful for the 65 years they had together.

elevated o3vEL He was proud of his children Cathy Hofer (Fred), John Jr. and Lisa Cauchi (Stan).

elevated o3vEL He was a loving Papa to Dr. Jonathan Cauchi (Clover), Christopher Cauchi, (Virginia) Amy Gaba (Greg), Kyle Hofer (Julia), Kim Burrell (Steve), Nicholas MIller (Charlotte), Dustin Miller

elevated o3vEL (Maddy) and their mother Karen Devereaux Miller.

elevated o3vEL He was also Papa to his great grand-children Makayla and Taylor Burrell, Lucas and Mya Hofer, and looking forward to the arrival of baby Gaba in November.

elevated o3vEL John was a loyal friend to many. He worked as a Tool & Die Maker but his real passion was music. He shared his passion and talents with so many. His band was present at many celebrations at the Danube Swabian Club and other venues.  His accordion was always ready for a sing-a-long.

elevated o3vEL There are many that have a tape from Johnnie due to his amazing technology skills.

elevated o3vEL At John’s request, there will be no service but he would love it if you would sing a song, listen to a Johnnie tape or dance a polka in his memory.
