elevated GnlxU It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the peaceful passing of John Andrews on Saturday, April 4, 2020 in his 92nd year.
elevated GnlxU Cherished husband of 62 years to Suad (nee Numan). Loving father to Susan (Anthony), Basil, Sarah (Dan) and Jason.
elevated GnlxU Treasured grandfather to Dorothy, Michael, Kate, Luca and Maxine. Predeceased by his sisters, Tippy, Anastasia, and Yvonne.
elevated GnlxU Johnny was an original, one of a kind, larger than life personality that touched the lives of all he came into contact with. A family man, protector, provider, entrepreneur, trailblazer, proud Canadian, lover of big band music, avid news watcher and sports fan, never missing a game of his beloved alma mater, the USC Trojans.
elevated GnlxU A private interment at Holy Cross Cemetery will be held on April 7, 2020. A celebration of life will follow when it is safe for all to congregate.
elevated GnlxU A special thanks to his private caregiver Martine to whom we are so grateful as well as the medical staff at Humber River Hospital.
elevated GnlxU In lieu of flowers, in these difficult for many Covid-19 times, please consider donating to CAMH or the Canadian Red Cross or a charity of your choice in John’s honour.
So sad to say goodbye to my dear Uncle. He will always be remembered for his incredible generosity and kind heart.

We remember John in his prime and will always love and cherish him that way.
We celebrate his life, his joy and his humor as we remember him. He was a great man and we miss him dearly as we immerse ourselves in his memory. We were privileged to have been so close to him and yourself during John’s lifetime.
We join you in your sorrow and wish that we could be with you to comfort you during this time of sadness.
We dwell in the knowledge that the moment of death for us is the time when the good Lord comes to take us home. John is in heaven and we can look forward to the resurrection reunion with him with unimaginable joy.

Heaven has truly gained an angel. Our sincerest condolences to you and your family. We will miss John greatly, and are thankful for all the wonderful times we had the honour of sharing with him.
