It is with extremely heavy hearts that we share the news that Jose Luis Montes de Oca passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026.

elevated l1FFu Luis was a loving husband to Myriam Pazmino, devoted father to Nicolas, Mathew, and Daniel Montes de Oca, loving stepfather to Jonathan and Josee Velez, and cherished brother to Rosario, Bettina, and Carlos. He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.

elevated l1FFu He leaves behind an abundance of stories and memories filled with love, joy, laughter, and strength that his family and friends will forever cherish. His passing will be deeply felt by many, and his life will be lovingly remembered and long celebrated by all who were fortunate enough to have shared in it.

elevated l1FFu Many thanks to all the caring nurses and doctors at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Credit Valley Hospital, and the Brameast Palliative Care team for the care, comfort, and compassion they provided Luis during his final journey.
