My sincere condolences to Connie and family. I have known Joe for most of my and his professional life and we worked together on many landscape projects. I had a tremendous respect for Joe’s vast knowledge of the landscape industry, in particular stonework. He was a hard working, fair and generous person. He was a legend and will be greatly missed
Jim, Peter, Nelson,
Heartfelt condolences to your entire family. Every time I visited the office, if Joe happened to be there, he always had stories to tell, wisdom and knowledge to share, and you could not have a conversation without making you laugh. He loved you all very much and is extremely proud of his family and accomplishments. As he rests in peace and watching from above, he will forever be with you all. Cherish all the wonderful memories and legacy of a life lived well. Wishing you all peacefulness and serenity during this time.
Peter, Jim, Nelson,
Our Society is mourning the loss of a huge supporter, advocate and community organizer. Jose (Joe) was instrumental in having the Centennial Garden at Highway 27 and Main Street in Schomberg established in 1997. Melo Landscaping donated the huge granite rock with the Trillium emblem and the gardens in front of it to the Community. It is a revered landmark and is lovingly referred to as the ‘Gates to Schomberg’.
In celebration of the Schomberg Horticultural Society’s 90th Anniversary last year, Melo Landscaping refurbished the Granite Stone and the stone wall in front of it.
On behalf of all the Board and all Members of the Society we extend our sincere condolences to the family, our thoughts are with you at this time. Joe will be greatly missed.
