elevated 6yTWb It is with heavy hearts the family of Jose De Medeiros Moniz announces his passing on December 27, 2021, at the age of 83, in Mississauga, Ontario. Only days after his oldest brother Manuel De Medeiros Moniz passed on December 23rd, 2021.
elevated 6yTWb Beloved son of Ana De Medeiros Negalha and Mariano Moniz Apolinario, husband of Maria De Gloria Andrade, father of Eulalia (Lolly) Braga (2020) all predeceased. Surviving son Frank (Sylvia), Son in law John, and grandchildren Brandice, Kyle, Chelsea, and Hailey.
elevated 6yTWb Joe grew up in the small town of Lomba da Maia, Sao Miguel, the Azores, where he helped his family on the farm until he was called out to serve his country on April 6, 1959, until 1961. Joe then immigrated to Canada in 1964 to make this his forever home, which he was a very proud Canadian.
elevated 6yTWb Joe found his true love Maria and married in 1965; their first child, a son, was born (Frank). Eulalia (Lolly) was delivered within two years, and Joe had his million-dollar family. Joe worked very hard for many years until he retired as a construction worker with Local 183 and Local 506, working on many buildings throughout Toronto, including the CN Tower and Skydome.
elevated 6yTWb Joe was very honoured to be in Canada, where his family was able to grow with freedom and prosperity, which is why Joe loved this country.
elevated 6yTWb Due to Covid-19 restrictions the visitation will be limited to 25 people in the building at one time. Guests may have to wait a few minutes at any given time.
